TAMAN
SELINI, new hideaway bungalows in the quiet, unspoiled fishing village
of Pemuteran, on the northwest coast of Bali. We are a small group
of pioneer developers in Pemuteran who have tried to implement "sensitive
tourism" from the outset, by working closely with the village
on every level and making sure that local environment and MARINE
RESERVE are always looked after. Pemuteran will therefore be protected
not only for the benefit of visitors, but also for future generations
within the village community.
In the northwest of Bali, the TAMAN SELINI bungalows are located
between the mountains and warm sea. The mountains are the colours
of mossy green and the sea is luminously blue and safe unlike any
seas anywhere, blue blue blue,, reflecting the sky of Pemuteran
which is dry-climate with brilliant blue skies. The nights are unbelievable
full of stars above in the sky. Taman Selini is few kilometers from
the West Bali National Reserve. The untouched forest full of monkeys
and deer as well as many birds and other species peculiar to the
northwest part of this island.
Traveling from the airport and to the villas is in itself an explorative
excursion and easily organized in combination with luxurious hotels
near the airport or near the shopping paradise of Kuta and Sanur.
The bungalows are three hours drive up north from the general Bali
buzz past terraced rice fields and spectacular scenery. Tall tamarind
trees line the last part of the trip before you arrive at the hotel.
There
are 11 air conditioned bungalows; Bougainvillea, Jacarandas, Frangipani
and Japonica overflow, luxuriantly from the gardens of each bungalow
with comfortable indoor and outdoor living space around a landscaped
courtyard and secluded outdoor shower. The bungalows are furnished
with antique day beds, heaps of white cushions, with white flowing
curtains of gardenias and frangipani and draping from the outside
stone wall the bougainvillea adding brilliant colors.
